The Shawshank Redemption is a 1994 film written and directed by Frank Darabont, based on the 1982 Stephen King novella Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption. This is a recreation of the movie title sequence. The inspiration for this piece came from the outrageousness of Stefan Sagmeister. His work is filled with hand calligraphy and unhinged originality and I wanted that to show in this piece. This was filmed at the historic Jackson Michigan State Prison.
